What are your fees?
For the most part, my housesitting service is FREE if located in and around the immediate North Shore area and parts of Auckland Central and if the stay is longer than a month. Depending on what extras you might need in regards to pets, plants or whatever else, these would only incur a nominal fee that's arranged on a case-by-case basis. In other words, its negotiable.
Is this another house sitting agency?
Nope, this is not a house sitting agency where you call up and some agent places some unknown person in your home. I'm my own agency. Placing only myself in your home. Simple as that. And much more economical, I might add. Beware of house sitting agency scams. Most are only booking agents who will gladly take your money, never meet the sitters they pass onto you and do not pass any of the fee charged onto the person who is actually caring for your home, garden, or pet.
Why do you not charge for housesitting?
Well depending on the circumstance, I do charge. But it's really based on distance from my central day-to-day, what chores need doing and length of time. But rest assured it's no where near what proper house sitting agencies charge or what your kennels will charge. I am a web nut-turned-student and am using this as a way to help reduce my living expenses while I complete my studies.
Are you reliable, respectful & honest?
Totally! And have the reference letters to prove it! I also have a current police clearance check, so this should add more peace of mind.
Do you pay for electricity, water, etc while living in my home?
Can do. But of course seeing as I'm doing you the favour of watching over your home, pet, garden, it'd be nice to get a favour in return but again, this is negotiable.
Will you make sure all is as it was left in my home?
Yes, for sure! I even bring my own food, bed linen, & towels. Also, I replace any consumables I might use. Basically, you'll never know I was even there.
What type of homes do you house sit for?
Can do anything from a wee apartment to a lifestyle block. And everything in between.
What are you studying?
I went from a 9 to 5 job in the web industry to studying jewellery design and working in web content and information architecture on a freelance basis.
